Who you're dealing with

Tales & Fables is operated by Caplan Studio LLC, a small studio in the United States. “We” and “us” below mean Caplan Studio. Using the site means you accept these terms.

It's offered as-is

The service is provided as-is, with no warranty — on the free tier and on Pro alike. We make a best effort to keep your stories safe and the service available, but there is no SLA, no support contract, and no guarantee of uninterrupted operation. Back up anything you'd cry about losing; every story has a “Download JSON” button for exactly that.

Your work is yours

You own everything you write in Tales & Fables. We claim no rights over your stories, characters, or notes. We don't read private stories or train models on them. We don't display them anywhere except to you and the collaborators you invite.

What you can't do

• Upload content that is illegal where the server lives (United States) — including sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, doxxing, or direct incitement of violence.
• Use the public-share feature to host malware, phishing pages, or anything you don't have the right to publish.
• Try to break the site, scrape it at volume, or exploit vulnerabilities. Responsible disclosure to us is welcome.

We can suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, at our sole discretion.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that affects you, the date at the top of this page updates. Continued use after a change counts as acceptance.
